Make a Stand for Christ!

Make a Stand for Christ!

Oh am I a Christian? I was talking to a friend and I jokingly said this to him. He replied that he didn’t necessarily like the title and that he preferred to tell people he was a believer. This really made something click in my head and here is the reply I wrote to him.

You should absolutely adore the title to be totally honest. If you are a “believer” in Christ, then you should absolutely stand up and declare you are a “Christ”ian.

Just be very wary of those so-called Christians. There are many these days with malintent. I question myself a lot so I will definitely question anyone else.

On a bit of a different note, Where does is say in the Bible about our food being changed? Because that has happened a long time ago. And it keeps getting worse.

Did you know there never use to be any such thing as an orange carrot? Genetic manipulation is to blame for the orange carrot.

So much of our food has been manipulated in such a fashion.

Many of the prophecies have already been fulfilled. Be ready for the coming of the antichrist! If he isn’t already here. I fear that won’t be long in coming.

It’s been nearly 2 millennia since Christ’s resurrection. That tends to be a magic number, 2 millennia. I expect something huge to transpire in about 19 years give or take.

Look at where TV is going! There are more shows that try to integrate heaven into their script and pervert it. Supernatural comes to mind strongly when I think of this. But there are so many others.

The idea is to try to fictionalize it all. Or to make it easier for the antichrist to come into power when the time comes. So many people will not take Christianity seriously and those who do will be easily manipulated into following the false Messiah.

Make sure you are strong into the Word! Be sure you understand that the antichrist comes before the return of Christ. And that there will be signs and wonders such as healings etc. But don’t be fooled. Satan has way more than the faith of a mustard seed and he can and will have his progeny healing people.

You should pray for the power of discernment! I believe this will prove to be the most beneficial of all the powers from the Holy Spirit that you could ask for.

Be wary… be so wary! There are many wolves hiding amongst the sheep! Learn to identify them! Expose them! Extricate them!

Wow sorry for preaching to you… try to have a good day and pretend the world is all peachy. But if you are sick and tired of the crap going on in the world today then take a stand for Christ!

Have a great day!
After all, it is the least we can do for Christ after what he did for us. Is it such a hard thing to tell our old running buddies that we are Christian for those of us who ran with the wrong crowd when we were young? Do we have a problem professing our beliefs to non believers?

We should absolutely take a stand for Christ! He sure took a stand for us in a way that not many would want to duplicate. I like to think that I would. But when it comes right down to it, will I have the strength of character? Will my faith be strong enough to carry me through the dark times if they should come upon us? I truly hope so and I pray that I shall be able to.

The Curse of the Serpent – Adam and Eve are Convicted – Genesis 3: 8-15

God Uncovers the Original Sin8And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. 9And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, ‘Where art thou?’ 10And he said, ‘I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.’ 11And he said, ‘Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?’ 12And the man said, ‘The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.’ 13And the LORD God said unto the woman, ‘What is this that thou hast done?’ And the woman said, ‘The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.’
14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, ‘Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel’.

The Original Sin Laid Bare

Adam and Eve Hide From God.After the disobedience of God by eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Adam and Eve hide in the trees to hide their nakedness as God enters the Garden. They are hiding more than their physical nakedness, they are hiding also because they have bared their spirits through their disobedience. They are ashamed not simply because they now realize their bodies are naked but because they also now realize their souls have been laid bare.

God calls to Adam knowing full well where he and Eve were hiding saying “Where art thou?” He calls to Adam because he is the one responsible for Eve, all things within the Garden and himself. He also calls out to him to see what answer Adam will offer up to him. Adam answers and says he hid because he was afraid “because” he was naked! His nakedness baring his very soul.

The Blame Game

Adam Laying Blame on EveThen God asks Adam who had told him he was naked, and had he eaten of the forbidden fruit. And what was Adam’s reply? He laid the blame on Eve his soul-mate of whom he was so enamored. He didn’t hesitate to throw her under the bus. His fear and shame of what he had done caused him to pass the blame perhaps in an effort to lessen his own blame.

Next God turns to Eve and asks, “What is this that thou hast done?” And what is her response? She turns right around and blames the serpent! Notice the pattern here? I can only imagine that the serpent was ready to lay blame on Satan at the drop of a hat. Of course many people believe that the serpent was Satan. If this is truly the case, then I’m sure he had his blame ready to blurt out. The pattern laying blame upon others for our sins has continued throughout time. It takes a man or woman strongly rooted in what is right to stand up and take the full force of the blame upon themselves.

The Original Sentence

His Seed Shall Bruise the Heel Your Seed Shall Bruise the Head!God turns to the serpent. He curses him to go forevermore upon his belly eating dust all the days of his life. Furthermore, he lays a curse upon him which is also directed toward Satan for his part in the deception of the woman. He says that there will be enmity between the serpents seed and the woman and her seed. And that the serpents seed shall bruise the heel of the woman’s seed who shall bruise the head of the serpents seed. Of course this ultimately leads to the conflict between Satan and Christ. But I am getting ahead of myself. This will be food for thought for another day.

What if it were your own child?

The Love of a Father for His Son!How many times have we as parents come home to find that our child or children have done something wrong. Knowing full well who the guilty party was we ask the child what happened nonetheless to see what answer they will give and admonish them all the more if they are not forthcoming. And how many times does the child blame one of his siblings for talking him into doing what he knew to be wrong?

What do you do in this case? Do you only punish the one child? Or do you punish all guilty parties? I can tell you from personal experience that it is wrong to only punish the one child. If the other children go unpunished, the unpunished ones will develop a pattern of talking the one child into doing wrong things over and over. And due to the one child’s blind devotion to and love for these other siblings, he will continue to do things that will land him in the hot seat when Mom or Dad come home.

All parties involved must be punished just as God punished all who partook of this original sin. God administered just the right punishment in order to insure that at least Adam or Eve would not sin again. The punishment was harsh and not only affected Adam and Eve but all of mankind for all time so that we may each of us learn from the sins of the father and mother of the entire human race.

Next week we will get into Adam and Eve’s punishment.

John’s Letter To The Seven Churches In Asia – Revelation 1: 4-8

John Writes the Letter to the 7 Chuches in asia.4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

John wishes Grace and Peace to the seven churches in Asia from God the Father who is and was and is to come, Jesus Christ the faithful witness – the first begotten of the dead and prince of the kings of the earth.

He reminds them of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made to wash us clean of sin. He also introduces the concept of the return of Christ… saying Christ will have dominion and glory for ever and ever.

Christ will come with the clouds and everyone will see him. Everyone on earth shall wail, other versions of the Bible say they shall mourn.

8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The Symbol of God and Christ, Alpha, Omega and the Chi Ro.Some scholars say that the Alpha and Omega refers to both God and Christ. But as you can see in verse 4, John is clearly referring to God when he mentions “from him which is, and which was, and which is to come”. So he also is clearly referring to God in verse 8 and not Christ. But then does not Christ say that to look upon him is to look upon the Father?

We shall cover this issue when the time comes. In this instance, John is referring to God and Him alone.

He refers to God and Christ in their own right. But he also mentions the seven Spirits which are before God’s throne. This will be explained once we cover the appropriate verses. Suffice it to say for now that the number seven has much significance throughout the Holy Scripture.

Enter The Serpent – The Serpent Was More Subtle Than Any Beast – Genesis 3: 1-7

Satan's ilk busy from day one!

The seduction of Eve

1Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Let’s clarify some things first.

In the very first sentence of this passage, the word “subtle” is translated as being “crafty” by other versions of the Bible. Either word could probably fit quite well.

Secondly, the serpent spoke to Eve. Was it that the first man and woman and all of God’s first creatures communicated with one another? Or was it only the serpent possessed of Satan who spoke to Eve? And if so, why was Eve not more curious and/or frightened by this serpent who all of a sudden spoke to her?

It would have been due to her innocence. With lack of the knowledge of evil there is no fear. Adam and Eve did not know fear or hate or evil or any other negative thing. All they would have known would have been happiness and total bliss. They knew all they needed to know, what God had told them. They would have been like children. More pure and simple even than children today for they never knew sin.

Next, was Adam with Eve when the serpent spoke to Eve? There are those who say he was but this passage does not clearly make that known. It could be that Adam was sleeping or out of ear-shot. But it does clearly state that Adam was with Eve when she committed the very first sin.

The Forbidden Fruit!

No one knows what the forbidden fruit could have been. It was something that no longer exists in the world of man.

And no, the first (original) sin was not fornication. It was disobedience. You might even say the first sin was coveting since Eve coveted the forbidden fruit. But however you look at it, Eve disobeyed the word of God as did Adam. What transpires after they partake of the forbidden fruit is not recorded. These things transpired behind closed doors you might say.

What we are told is their eyes were opened, meaning they came to some realizations. One thing, and the only thing we are told is they realized they were naked. And so they fashioned themselves aprons or loincloths to gird about their waists to hide their nakedness.

Was this part of God’s design?

Was the serpent possessed of Satan? Or was the serpent merely influenced by the Father of Lies?  I tend to believe the latter otherwise why would God have punished the serpent for his part in the corruption of Adam and Eve? Was God aware of what might happen in the Garden? Are we wrong in believing that God is omnipotent? Was it an experiment to see if his creation could resist temptation? These are perplexing questions and some that many people may have asked.

Why did Eve listen to the serpent?

Just how much were Adam and Eve aware of? We know they were like children. We know they knew absolutely nothing of wickedness, temptation or the art of manipulation. Were they aware of more than God, the garden and the creatures that God made? Were they aware of anything outside of the Garden? Were they aware of Satan? or the other angels fallen or not?

God was their father and they were his children. God set the rules and told them they would die if they ate of the forbidden fruit. He told them on the day they ate of it they would surely die. Did they realize the impllications of death? I would imagine that they would have been made to realize that death would have meant the end of everything that they new and loved. Otherwise, their curiosity alone may have been enough to entice them to partake of the forbidden fruit.

But why did Eve give in to the temptation? This may have been something long in coming. There is no timeframe mentioned regarding Adam and Eve’s life span in the Garden. This may have played out over many years, decades or even centuries. We, I’m sure, are all clueless as to how long their lifespan would have or could have been.

Adam and Eve's flight from death! How long did they live or how long would they have lived if they had not disobeyed God? Would they have lived forever? Why did they not die on the day they partook of the forbidden fruit? Did not God say “for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Were they pardoned due the reason they partook of the forbidden fruit? Did God reason that they should not be held solely responsible for their disobedience and therefore allow them to live? Why would God even have placed such a thing as the tree of knowledge of good and evil within the Garden and within reach of Adam and Eve in the first place not to mention the tree of life? And why would Satan not have tempted them to partake of the tree of life as well?

I believe I can answer that last question by mere reasoning. Satan was jealous of Adam and Eve and he wanted them to die. And this may be why God spared their lives.

Why didn’t the serpent try to tempt Adam instead of Eve?

I believe it is due to Adam’s being the first born of God, so-to-speak, that he had a stronger spiritual bond to his maker. Satan knew that Adam would not disobey God’s command mereley by the words of the serpent. But he also knew that Adam could be persuaded by Eve to do so. Adam was enamoured of Eve. He saw in her part of himself and would have done anything with or for her. Even to the point of disobeying his father.

Satan of course knew this and took full advantage of it. He beguilled the serpent which in turn beguilled Eve, who in turn beguilled Adam. And this begs the question and one that many have asked throughout time and has caused many to falter and lose their faith in God, “Where was God and how could he allow this to happen?”

It seems that as we explore the Bible, we are left with more questions than answers. Are we suppose to sit down and read the Bible and accept every word verbatim? No, I don’t think so. I don’t think we are suppose to be a bunch of mindless zombies. He wants us to explore and learn. But at the same time he wants us to have faith. Just as he wanted Adam and Eve to have faith in his word and commands.

This sign should be placed everywhere within our lives.Eve was tempted into disobeying God, and ever since temptation has been laid out before mankind as stumbling blocks to steer us away from the path to salvation. There are many forbidden fruits in the world today. Everywhere we look there is sin and corruption. Even within the church!

The church is rife with corruption and easily corruptible today. It would be so easy for the Anti-Christ to step into the church today. Of course this could possibly have been said many times throughout history. But more and more of the prophecies have come to pass in this day and age. Many religious scholars believe that this generation shall live to see the Anti-Christ take power. But I digress… again!

For now let’s leave it as it stands. Explore the verses of the Bible along with me to see if we can find answers to these and many more questions as we continue our journey.

Schools Not Banned From Having A Religious Curriculum

Children in a classroomI just had a bit of an epiphany.

Think real long and hard about this before you decide to make a decision on it. Why are schools allowed to have christmas pageants and plays, teach about santa claus and the easter bunny?

Are these things all not loosely associated with Christ? Are schools not banned from having a religious curriculum? Are not God and Christ completely banned from schools? How so is it that these other things are allowed to be taught in schools? Could it be because they truly have little to do with Christ or religion?

Why else would our government and the Godless masses allow them to continue to be practiced in our public schools?

I will tell you why.

santa clausBecause christmas as it is practiced today, santa claus and the easter bunny all have no real correlation to Christ. And haven’t had for a very long time. Sure religious organizations continue to observe christmas and easter as if they really have religious significance but truly they have become nothing more than a shell of what they were originally intended to be.

Some time after the death and resurrection of Christ and before the Roman Catholics perverted these Holy days and others, christmas and easter actually had real meaning. People truly paid homage to Christ the Son and God the Father.

satan claus - The myth of christmasBut after the Roman Catholic church compromised the sanctity of these Holy days by moving the dates they were held to correspond to the dates of certain pagan religions in an attempt to trick and lure the pagan masses into accepting these Holy days and allowing these pagans to continue their own rituals, they stripped these Holy days of their true meaning and sanctity. These so-called Holy days were rendered to nothing more than a shadow of what they were meant to be.

These Holy days would come to be known merely as holidays. No different in meaning than Presidents day or groundhogs day. When the fantasy of these holidays outweighs the truth are we not in effect joining the ignorant masses of the pagan society?

I really wonder how many people have bothered to research the true origin of the easter bunny and santa claus (or as I refer to him “satan claus”). How many people truly know that the easter bunny, the easter eggs, santa claus, the christmas tree and the majority of the symbols used and rituals practiced by so-called Christians are truly those of pagan gods and ritual practices for thousands of years.

And they were all of them deceived.

easter? bunny - A picture is worth a thousand words. So why are christmas and easter allowed to be observed in our schools? Because they have no real basis in religion nor correlation to Christ or God. True there are those who still worship Christ on these days. But they turn right around and practice the pagan rituals which have come to be associated with these once Holy days.

Once you compromise a Holy day and muddy it with the rituals of pagan gods or goddesses, the Holy day becomes nothing more than a mere shadow of what it was meant to be. It is sinful to continue to practice these Holy days in such a way. It is “anti-christ” to practice such rituals on days that were meant to bring praise and worship Christ.

The stage has been set for the entrance of the biggest fantasy of all… the anti-christ. The masses have been misled for so many generations, it will be a cake-walk for satan’s ilk to walk among us and completely deceive the masses.

It is time to unveil the pretenders. It is time to pull back the curtain and reveal the wizard. This is the perfect analogy. For when the wizard reveals himself, the masses will be deceived into believing him to be the true Christ.

Why is this?

What is truth?Simply because they have been deceived for so long, they have been lied to in so many ways, how difficult will it be to get them to swallow one more lie? Corruption takes more forms than you could possibly know.

They say the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing people he didn’t exist. What better way to do that than to get people to not believe in God? After all, if there is no such thing as God then it only stands to reason there is no such thing as satan.

So if you consider yourself to be a Christian or one who truly believe in Christ and God, then do yourself a huge favor and delve into these things and learn the truth. For if you don’t, then you leave yourself open to the deceit that awaits the masses who will find themselves falling at the feet of and worshiping the anti-christ.

And if you do, then prepare yourself to pay the ultimate sacrifice. For many true followers of Christ will be put to death. If you are not willing to repay Christ in kind, if you are not willing to lay down your life for Christ as he did for us all, then dismiss this writing off-hand and get back to your life as you know it. For Christ deserves the best of us as he gave us the best of himself.

Woman Is Born Of Man – Genesis 2: 21-25

21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23And Adam said,

‘This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.’

24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Michelangelo's Creation of Woman

Michelangelo’s Creation of Woman

I have read much as to why woman was created from the rib of man rather than from the dust of the earth as Adam was made. There is much significance in this.

First and foremost, woman being born of man ensured that the man would have more feeling for the woman than had she been born of the earth as he had been. This instills a closer bond between the man and the woman. The woman being bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. What man could not love his own self? And Eve was in effect Adam in the form of a woman.

Eve being created of Adams rib is quite similar to what we know as cloning. Cloning as we know it would have produced another man. So God took the rib of Adam and used that to create a unique being, not a clone. He created a woman. A companion for Adam. To be at his side. Symbolism intended. To be his helpmate. To be his other half. To be the bearer of his children.

But why the rib?

Regenerative nature of the rib bone.

Excerpt from Princples of Regenerative Biology

Medical science has known for quite some time that if you remove the rib from the body and leave the membrane surrounding the rib intact, the rib will regenerate, and if done properly will grow back completely. The rib is the only bone in the body that can regenerate in such a fashion.

If man has discovered this do you not think that the creator of man would have known this? How many thousands of years did it take for man to learn that which is more than lkely common knowledge to God? And yet science wants to tell me how I was made? Science wants to tell me I should take man made poisons into my body and call it medicine? And yet I digress.

The rib was used because it has the ability to regenerate therefore leaving the man whole and complete. God would not have left Adam with a missing rib. God did not change the DNA of man which would have been necessary in order for him to have one less rib than he had originally. The life is in the blood. And everything necessary to have created a new person, a woman, is present in the marrow of the bone.

So it needed to be a bone which God chose to create the woman. And as discussed, the rib is the only bone which can regenerate itself. We should never question the wisdom of God. The greatest wisdom of man (science) is as folly compared to the wisdom of God. God takes things for granted which we have absolutely no knowledge of. We can not fathom the workings of the vast majority of things in this galaxy much less the universe or the things we can not even see. So how could we question the validity of the choice of using Adams rib to create Eve?

Addressing the falacy of the missing rib.

We all have 12 ribs.

“I want my baby back, baby back, baby back!” Courtesy of Chili’s. Image courtesy of biology.clc.uc.edu

As you should now understand, Adams rib would have regenerated itself. God did not create anything less than perfection. Adam being the creation of God, made from the very dust of the earth, would have been perfect. The purest, most perfect man to ever walk the earth. Every man since has been a diluted subset of Adam if you will. Never quite as perfect.

There are those who believe that men are missing a rib. This is just rediculous. Anyone with any medical knowledge at all or with any background in human anatomy (anatomy 101) can tell you that we all have 12 ribs. God used Adams rib, ripe with the DNA and life’s blood of Adam to create the woman. Adam’s DNA was not altered to exclude a rib from a man. God merely took a rib from Adams side and utilized that which was within him already to create the woman. For within every man there is everything needed to create a woman or a man. It is the male sperm which decides the gender of a child born of woman.

The original law of attraction.

Adam's Attraction for Eve... The Original LOA!

Woah! Where you been all my life? Courtesy of Creation.com

Woman being born of man instilled within each a natural and ongoing attraction for the opposite sex. This is not only natural, but ensures the proliferation of the species. It creates an attraction strong enough to pull a man away from his parents.

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

When a man and woman become intimate with one another, they become as one. They bond in the most intimate fashion. Their body chemistry intermingles. Reactions occur which I believe are beyond our current science to comprehend.

Their bond when nurtured through their relation with God goes much deeper than anyone could possibly realize. Adam and Eve were humanity in it’s purest form. They were unafraid and unashamed. They had no reason to feel fear or shame. They knew no evil or wickedness. They were as innocent as children. There were no big brothers or sisters or parents to teach them right or wrong. There was only God… and Lucifer.

Why Lucifer was let loose in the Garden is beyond me. But then that is food for thought for another time. Please do leave your comments, whether in support of or against my commentary.

1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

It has been revealed

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants…” That bears repeating! After Christ died, was resurrected and ascended into Heaven did his Father give to him this prophecy to share with mankind. Revealed unto man a mere 2,000 years ago. The blink of an eye in the vastness of time.

Jesus entrusted this prophecy to John so that he could share it with the world. A world undeserving of the guidance and warnings within. The prophecy of “things which must shortly come to pass;” Some 2,000 years later, I truly believe that these “things” are becoming quite imminent.

Are you prepared for the coming of Revelation?

“Blessed is he that readeth and they that hear… for the time is at hand.” Get to know the Revelation. Commit it to memory along with all scripture related to it. Let us pray that we will all be prepared for the trials and tribulations to come. And yet I get ahead of myself.

Read the Revelation of Jesus Christ! Listen to your pastor. Commit some time with members of your congregation or friends for Bible study focusing on the Book of Revelation. I believe we are the generation which will see Revelation come to pass. I will be very surprised if I am wrong. I’m no Biblical scholar nor theologian but I do listen to those who are.

The Passing of a Fine Man

Pastor Arnold Murray… Rest in Peace! Image Courtesy of lisaintx.wordpress.com.

My choice of clergy to follow is of The Shepherd’s Chapel. My favorite clergyman, Pastor Arnold Murray passed recently. This was a very sad day for the Christian community as a whole. As with the passing of any man of great faith.

Pastor Murray spoke the truth of the Word of God. He didn’t pull any punches and he didn’t interject his own agenda into his sermons. Any clergyman who does so isn’t worth his weight in beans.

Pastor Murray was a humble, faithful servant of God. I truly aspire to be more like him… more like Jesus. Let us mourn. Let us rejoice. Let us embrace the coming Revelation.

The Godless fear the Revelation. The Godlike should embrace it, rejoice in it. As it marks the second coming of our Lord and Savior. Glory Halleluiah!

Let me bring this to a close before I get too far ahead of the scripture.

Adam Names the Animals Genesis 2: 18-20

18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.20And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Adam Names the Animals

Adam Naming the Animals in the Garden of Eden.God created the animals so that man would not be alone in the Garden. Of all the creatures the Lord created, He brought them to Adam who gave them names. What I wouldn’t give to know the names they were given. What I wouldn’t give to know the language of Adam.

The language of Adam must have been the language of God. For in later verses it is written that Adam and Eve walked in the Garden with God and spoke to him. How I would have loved to be there for those strolls in the Garden.

“But for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.” All the creatures God created couldn’t give Adam the companionship he needed. Man was not meant to be alone in life. He was meant to have companionship… human companionship.

No man should ever live a solitary lifestyle. It isn’t healthy. There may be periods in a man’s life when he finds himself alone. That is OK so long as he has God in his corner. No man is an island.

Children should be taught to love and care for others. They should be taught the ways of the Lord. If all children had the proper guidance in life there would not be any issues with children taking guns to school and shooting their classmates. There wouldn’t be any bullying. There wouldn’t be anyone feeling left out… cast out!

Your very own children add to the issues that create these outcasts. If everyone taught their children to love others and to overlook the peculiarities of others, to help others, respect others, to include others and to take up for others, the bullying and classroom violence would disappear!

No man is an island… nor should any child be an outcast.

The Forbidden Fruit – Genesis 2: 15-17

15And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The Forbidden Fruit

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

God placed the man in the garden of Eden “to dress it and to keep it”. The Jewish Orthodox Bible says to “la’avod” it, meaning to till or work it, and be “shomer”- watcher or keeper of the garden. So from the very beginning man was put on earth to tend and to work it.

For although God provides everything we could possibly need, he doesn’t simply drop it into our laps. We must work to gather it. We must learn to keep the weeds away from the plants to keep them from strangling that which gives us sustenance. We must learn to create or find shelters to keep us safe from the elements.

And so the Lord God commanded Adam to not eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Obviously Eve was not yet in the picture. Therefore it would have been up to Adam to convey this commandment to her, as such it was the true first commandment from god to man. This was the only rule… the only law given to man from God in the beginning.

God did not tell him to not eat of the fruit of the tree of life. For I believe he was suppose to eat of that tree. He was meant to live forever, the man and the woman… the two of them forever in bliss in the paradise of the garden of Eden. And if that first commandment were ever broken, so would be the first covennant between God and man. And man would surely die.

It does not say that the man or the woman would die right away. For surely they did not… and would not. Of course satan knew this and knew exactly what would happen when Eve partook of the fruit. This of course is the subject of future verses.

So just what was the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Was it truly a fruit from a tree? Or is this mere symbolism? Was this some fruit which would magically empower the man and the woman with said knowledge? Or is it some metaphor gently disguising the act of sex committed by Adam and Eve in the beginning?

To this end I will only give a few examples of some fruits (using the term figuratively) available in the world today. Peyote: A hallucinogenic “fruit”. Belladonna: Another hallucinogen. And of course the poppy and morning glory which although not hallucinogenic still contain properties which alter ones state of mind. So, how much more so potent a fruit could the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil have been? I will leave you with this point to ponder.
