9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
What I wouldn’t give to taste of the first fruits of the trees. They would undoubtedly be so full of nutrition that it wouldn’t taste right. I’m sure that an apple tasted much different so very long ago. They would have been bursting with so much flavor as to make your mouth water to excess and your eyes roll back in your head because of the shear exquisiteness of the flavor. Nuts would have been so pungent with aroma and flavor you would think they had been chemically enhanced. I can just imagine the bright colors of all the fruits and vegetables. How green the grasses were. How vibrant all the colors were, how sweet the smells, how pure the sky was and how the only sounds you hear are those of nature.
And yet today we have perverted the very things that God put upon this earth to nurture us. We have altered the chemistry and genetics of just about every living thing on this world. We have corrupted that which we consume. As we consume the corrupted foods, water and air, so to our bodies become corrupted. This is why it is so very important to consume the most natural foods possible. But it has been made next to impossible to do so. The more natural (organic) the food is, the more expensive it has become.
I could go on about why, when they don’t have to use expensive chemical fertilizers, does the organic foods cost so much more, but that is a subject for another post all together. Suffice it to say that the poor are the ones basically being forced to eat the highly processed “cheaper” foods. In the long run these cheaper foods will end up being more expensive due to all the doctor bills brought on by all the medical issues these “processed foods” have caused in your body. But then again that is yet another matter for a different post. This post is for Bible quotes and my take on them. And with that, I will draw to a close.
