18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.20And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
Adam Names the Animals
God created the animals so that man would not be alone in the Garden. Of all the creatures the Lord created, He brought them to Adam who gave them names. What I wouldn’t give to know the names they were given. What I wouldn’t give to know the language of Adam.
The language of Adam must have been the language of God. For in later verses it is written that Adam and Eve walked in the Garden with God and spoke to him. How I would have loved to be there for those strolls in the Garden.
“But for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.” All the creatures God created couldn’t give Adam the companionship he needed. Man was not meant to be alone in life. He was meant to have companionship… human companionship.
No man should ever live a solitary lifestyle. It isn’t healthy. There may be periods in a man’s life when he finds himself alone. That is OK so long as he has God in his corner. No man is an island.
Children should be taught to love and care for others. They should be taught the ways of the Lord. If all children had the proper guidance in life there would not be any issues with children taking guns to school and shooting their classmates. There wouldn’t be any bullying. There wouldn’t be anyone feeling left out… cast out!
Your very own children add to the issues that create these outcasts. If everyone taught their children to love others and to overlook the peculiarities of others, to help others, respect others, to include others and to take up for others, the bullying and classroom violence would disappear!
No man is an island… nor should any child be an outcast.
