1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants…” That bears repeating! After Christ died, was resurrected and ascended into Heaven did his Father give to him this prophecy to share with mankind. Revealed unto man a mere 2,000 years ago. The blink of an eye in the vastness of time.

Jesus entrusted this prophecy to John so that he could share it with the world. A world undeserving of the guidance and warnings within. The prophecy of “things which must shortly come to pass;” Some 2,000 years later, I truly believe that these “things” are becoming quite imminent.

Are you prepared for the coming of Revelation?

“Blessed is he that readeth and they that hear… for the time is at hand.” Get to know the Revelation. Commit it to memory along with all scripture related to it. Let us pray that we will all be prepared for the trials and tribulations to come. And yet I get ahead of myself.

Read the Revelation of Jesus Christ! Listen to your pastor. Commit some time with members of your congregation or friends for Bible study focusing on the Book of Revelation. I believe we are the generation which will see Revelation come to pass. I will be very surprised if I am wrong. I’m no Biblical scholar nor theologian but I do listen to those who are.

The Passing of a Fine Man

Pastor Arnold Murray of The Sheppards Chapel, Gravette AR.

Pastor Arnold Murray… Rest in Peace! Image Courtesy of lisaintx.wordpress.com.

My choice of clergy to follow is of The Shepherd’s Chapel. My favorite clergyman, Pastor Arnold Murray passed recently. This was a very sad day for the Christian community as a whole. As with the passing of any man of great faith.

Pastor Murray spoke the truth of the Word of God. He didn’t pull any punches and he didn’t interject his own agenda into his sermons. Any clergyman who does so isn’t worth his weight in beans.

Pastor Murray was a humble, faithful servant of God. I truly aspire to be more like him… more like Jesus. Let us mourn. Let us rejoice. Let us embrace the coming Revelation.

The Godless fear the Revelation. The Godlike should embrace it, rejoice in it. As it marks the second coming of our Lord and Savior. Glory Halleluiah!

Let me bring this to a close before I get too far ahead of the scripture.

Please do leave your comments, whether in support of or against my commentary. Let me know what your take is on these verses. Till next week…

God Bless,
Brother Rand
